Mark Gerber, Hatch Mott MacDonald’s U.S. West Regional Practice Leader – Environment, was recently elected to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals (ABCEP). The ABCEP is a professional association dedicated to serving the environmental professional community. The Board is comprised of twelve at-large elected members from the environmental field and one ex-officio member. Through a committee management structure, Trustees conduct strategic planning, establish policies and procedures, prepare and implement plans, and play an active role in building the success of ABCEP and its Certified Environmental Professionals (CEP) Membership. The ABCEP Board of Trustees and its committees also oversee the professional certifications of environmental professionals for the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP).
As U.S. West Regional Practice Leader—Environment, Mr. Gerber is responsible for developing the firm’s environmental practice in the western United States, including developing relationships with clients, establishing teaming partners for major environmental projects, and providing environmental support to major HMM infrastructure projects. In addition to his role on the Board of Trustees for ABCEP, Mr. Gerber is also a member of several other professional organizations including the National Association of Environmental Professionals; the Wildlife Society; The Scientific Research Society; and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Associations.
