Christopher Solecki, PEng, serves as Hatch Mott MacDonald’s Aviation Practice Leader and is responsible for the firm’s airport client marketing, project delivery, and technical excellence. With 31 years in the air transportation industry, he is an internationally experienced professional whose knowledge and services have contributed to the success of many HMM’s aviation projects in North America and abroad.

Christopher’s specialty is aviation facility projects such as air terminal buildings, airside and landside infrastructure, air cargo and aircraft maintenance facilities.He has also gained reputation on air defense projects. His reputation for delivering large-scale, innovative airport projects built to stringent budgets and constrained schedules, has taken him all over the world. Major projects have included Principal Engineer for the airside of Toronto Pearson’s new Terminal 1. Recently, he added to his experience with large-scale projects as an active participant in HMM’s successful role on the multi-billion dollar Mid-Field Satellite Concourse project at LAX in Los Angeles.

Christopher’s unique knowledge has allowed him to guest lecture at several universities and industry conferences, as well as publish technical papers on topics including airport construction project management and aircraft maintenance facility projects. Well respected among his peers, Christopher is a past winner of Hatch Mott MacDonald’s prestigious Project Manager of the Year Award.
